Canyon Elks Lodge #2887

Are you looking for a fun place to go and eat and hang out with friends? Canyon Elks Lodge #2887 is where it’s at! Every other Friday, Elk friends meet at 6:30 pm for some delicious food, fellowship, and games. Sometimes the games get a little rowdy but the food is always yummy.

The newest hotspot in Canyon, Texas is the Canyon Elks Lodge #2887 located in the VFW Hall on Soncy Drive. Elks come and eat for $10 a plate and you can bring your own drinks or the Elks have some beverages you can pay with the honor system.

Canyon Elks started Apr 2, 2022 have been blowing and going ever since. The newest lodge in America was started when some members of the Elks recognized that there was a need in the Canyon community for those less fortunate, the veterans, and/or anyone needing a helping hand. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks is an American fraternal order founded in 1868. The goal of Elks is to: Promote the welfare and enhance the happiness of its members; To quicken the spirit of American patriotism, and cultivate good fellowship. All Elks from anywhere in the United States of America believe in CHARITY, JUSTICE, BROTHERLY LOVE, AND FIDELITY. 

So far, meals at the Canyon Elks Lodge have ranged from Chili Dogs and brownies to Tacos with all the fixings, including some pretty spicy homemade hot sauce to BBQ pork sandwiches and the fixings. Donations from the Girl Scouts cookies have provided some pretty good desserts, too!

Feel like a game of Shuttle Board? There is a really nice table that includes all the necessary tools to have a rousing game of Shuttle Board. But, be careful. Some of the members of #2887 have been practicing. Want to exercise your vocal cords? Karaoke sing-offs and sing-a-longs are available if you feel like singing. Over in the corner of the lodge, members have been known to start a quick, one-hour, game of Texas Hold ‘Em. It’s all fun and games at the Canyon Elks Lodge #2887!
